Two men from rural Blue Earth County are in custody for their alleged involvement in a burglary in Mankato over the weekend. 30-year-old Adam Joseph Willert and 28-year-old Joshua James Dobie were arrested at their home in South Bend Township Saturday evening after authorities found around $2,600 worth of stolen tools in the residence. The burglary of a large amount of construction equipment and other items from an unoccupied home on Harper Street in Mankato was reported Saturday morning, and investigators later learned the stolen equipment could be found at the South Bend Township home. The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department and Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force assisted with the search of the home. Willert and Dobie now face charges of possession of stolen property, 5th-degree drug possession, and the use of a police scanner while committing a felony.
