24 Hour Salad 06 Apr 12

6 cups chopped lettuce
salt and pepper
6 hard boiled eggs, sliced
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
8oz shredded Swiss cheese
mayonnaise or salad dressing

Place 3 cups of lettuce in the bottom of a large glass bowl. Layer eggs on top of lettuce; sprinkle salt and pepper. Layer in order: peas, remaining lettuce, bacon and Swiss cheese. Spread enough mayonnaise over the top, sealing to edge of bowl, covering ingredients completely. Cover and chill 24 hours. Toss before serving.
