The first hearing on a Vikings stadium bill is tentatively set for this Wednesday in the Minnesota Senate, and Governor Dayton is encouraging Minnesotans to contact their lawmakers and urge them to support the measure. The House is expected to take up the bill on Thursday. The plan is to have to have the $975-million price split three ways, with the team picking up just over half. The state would retain the rights to the name, colors, and lore of the team should the current owner leave before the stadium lease was up.
