Wolves Entertain Clippers
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Timberwolves entertain two of the NBA’s biggest stars when the Los Angeles Clippers visit Target Center tonight. LA boasts power forward Blake Griffin and point guard Chris Paul, while Minnesota counters with a star-studded duo of Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. The Wolves have won the previous two encounters against the Clippers, both in LA. Tonight’s game tips off at 7 p.m.

Gophers Gear Up For Tourney
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Golden Gophers men’s basketball team had an early morning workout at Williams Arena today, as they prepare for the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament. Minnesota will play Northwestern Thursday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Head coach Tubby Smith has switched up his routine this week and is having his guys practice in the morning. The team will leave for Indianapolis on Wednesday. The winner of Thursday’s game between the Gophers and Wildcats will play Michigan on Friday in Indianapolis in the quarterfinals.

Twins-Red Sox
(Fort Myers, FL) — The Minnesota Twins will play their only night game of the spring training schedule this evening at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers. The Boston Red Sox are the opposition, just a day after Boston knocked off the Twins 8-3 in a daytime game across town at the Red Sox facility in Fort Myers. Right-hander Jason Marquis [[ mar-KEE ]] will get the nod for the Twins tonight in his Grapefruit League debut for Minnesota. He will trade pitches with Boston right-hander Clay Bucholz. Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau are expected to play in tonight’s game, which starts at 6 p.m.

Wild At Colorado Tomorrow
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild had a morning skate today to try to correct a few things from last night’s disappointing 2-0 loss at home to Colorado. The team plays at Colorado tomorrow night in an old-fashioned “home-and-home” series. Minnesota has struggled scoring goals of late, having been shut out in each of its last two losses. Minnesota has given up the first goal in seven straight games. Tomorrow’s game starts at 8 p.m. The team travels on to Phoenix after tomorrow’s game for a Thursday night encounter with the Coyotes.

Wild Struggling
(St. Paul, MN) — When newly-acquired Wild defenseman Steven Kampfer got onto the ice during last night’s 2-0 loss to Colorado. He became the franchise-record 44th player to skate for the Wild in a game this season. Injuries have plagued the team, which has fallen to 13th in the NHL Western Conference standings.
