Gophers Advance To Frozen Four
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota hockey team advanced to the Frozen Four with a 5-2 win over North Dakota. Taylor Matson logged a goal and an assist in the victory. The Frozen Four will begin in Tampa on April 5th.
Wolves Romp Nuggets
(Minneapolis, MN) — Kevin Love posted 30 points and 21 rebounds as the Timberwolves cruised past the Nuggets, 117-100. Luke Ridnour added 25 points and six assists to help Minnesota snap a two-game slide. The Wolves will visit the Grizzlies tomorrow night.
Cards Rough Up Twins
(Jupiter, FL) — The Twins suffered a 9-2 loss to the Cardinals in Grapefruit League play yesterday. Luke Hughes hit a solo homer and plated both runs for Minnesota. Nick Blackburn allowed two runs in five innings of work. The Twins face the Rays this afternoon.
Woods Wins Palmer Invitational
(Orlando, FL) — Tiger Woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational yesterday. Woods finished the tournament at 13-under par, five strokes ahead of Graeme [[ Graham ]] McDowell. This is Tiger’s first win since the 2009 BMW Championship and seventh overall at the Palmer Invitational.
