Wild Nip Flames In Shootout
(St. Paul, MN) — Devin Setoguchi scored in the fourth round of the shootout to give the Wild a 3-2 win over the Flames. Dany Heatley and Darroll Powe scored in regulation to help Minnesota erase a 2-0 deficit. Josh Harding made 27 saves for Minnesota, which has won two straight. The Wild kick off a two-game road swing starting tomorrow evening at Buffalo.

Wolves Wrap Up Road Swing
(Oklahoma City, OK) — The Minnesota Timberwolves wrap up a seven-game road trip this evening against the Thunder in Oklahoma City. The Wolves have dropped four of their last five games and are coming off a 116-100 setback at San Antonio on Wednesday to fall to 23-and-25 on the season. Minnesota returns to the Target Center on Sunday to host the Denver Nuggets.

Twins Blasted By Baltimore
(Fort Myers, FL) — Wilson Betemit and Trent Mummey each hit two-run homers to fuel Baltimore’s 11-1 thrashing of Minnesota in Grapefruit League action on Thursday afternoon. Carl Pavano was rocked for eight hits and six runs over four full frames. Joe Mauer doubled among his two hits and drove in a run in defeat. The Twins continue Grapefruit League play this afternoon against the New York Yankees in Tampa.

Gophers In NIT Semifinals
(New York, NY) — The sixth-seeded Minnesota Golden Gophers will square off against the top-seed Washington Huskies in the National Invitational Tournament semifinals on Tuesday at Madison Square Garden. The Gophers advanced with a 78-72 win over Middle Tennessee in the tourny quarters. The winner will take on either UMass or Stanford in the NIT championship game.
