The 45th annual New Ulm Rotary Scholars Recognition Banquet is coming up soon. The banquet recognizes the academic top 15% of graduating seniors from all three New Ulm High Schools. The annual “Service Above Self” award and scholarship is also presented to one member of each school’s graduating class for their service to their school, the community and their own personal development. The banquet takes place beginning at 6:30pm on Monday, March 26th at the Martin Luther College gymnasium in New Ulm. The guest speaker this year will be KARE-11 TV Sports Director Randy Shaver, who established the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
