A 17-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a truck Thursday on Highway 212 in Norwood Young America. It happened at the intersection with Carver County Road 33 on the west end of Norwood. The State Patrol says that Andrew T. Mulville of Norwood Young America was struck and killed after apparently wrapping himself in a dark blanket and lying down on the road just before sunrise at 7am. The eastbound Mack truck was driven by 55-year-old Harold Schroeder of Gibbon, and the roadway was reportedly wet at the time. Mulville was pronounced dead at the scene. Schroeder was not hurt. The State Patrol is investigating.
