The superintendent of the Nicollet School District resigned last week due to health reasons. The Nicollet School Board accepted the resignation of part-time Superintendent T. Sorenson during a special meeting early in the week, and then agreed to offer the position to former Le Sueur Superintendent Dave Johnson for the remainder of the school year. He is scheduled to begin his duties in Nicollet today (MON), and will be working approximately 3 days per-week for $525 per-day. The Nicollet School Board has a work session scheduled for 6:30 Tuesday evening to further discuss the open position.
