The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office recently welcomed it’s newest officer – a Springer Spaniel named “Turner.” The 3-year-old dog took over the K-9 drug detection and tracking duties for the sheriff’s office this year following the retirement of 10-year-old German Shepherd K-9 officer “Zeus” in 2010. Turner came to Sibley County in part thanks to a $5,000 grant from Alliance Pipeline. His handler is Deputy Andy Hayden.
