A Hector man was arrested on car theft charges this week in Benton County. Authorities were called to Mid-State Homes near Rice at just after 9 o’clock Monday morning. Witnesses had reported seeing a man trying to break into the business. When he failed to gain entry to the building he apparently stole a car that was parked there. The vehicle was located a few hours later and 33-year-old Kevin Wolden was taken into custody without incident. Detectives are now investigating whether Wolden is responsible for other crimes in that area as well.
