A New Ulm woman faces felony charges for allegedly stealing over $4,700 from vulnerable adults in her care. 44-year-old Stacy A. Rewitzer was charged with financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult after Brown County Family Services learned that money from 2 adults’ checking accounts was not being appropriately spent. The 2 had been seriously injured in a car accident, and Rewitzer allegedly continued to take money out of their accounts while they were hospitalized over a 3-month period. She is accused of spending the $4,700 on personal expenses such as taxes, gas, clothing, vehicle maintenance, groceries, and gambling.
