The Brown County Republican County Convention is taking place today (SAT) in Sleepy Eye. Brown County GOP Chair Jim Hahn says the primary purpose of the convention is to select delegates for the upcoming district and state conventions. The 1st District Republican Convention takes place April 21st and the State Convention begins May 18th. Featured speakers during the Brown County Convention today at the Eagle’s Orchid Inn of Sleepy Eye include State Representative Paul Torkelson and State Senator Gary Dahms as well as First District Congressional Candidates Mike Parry and Allen Quist.
