A St. Peter man wanted by police after allegedly kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend turned himself in on Tuesday. A warrant was issued for the arrest of 28-year-old Nielsen Francis Ove after the woman called 911 on Sunday, March 18th to report that he had held her captive for around 45 minutes and assaulted her. The woman told police that she had been dating Ove for about 16 months, but was attempting to end the relationship when he allegedly abducted her and threatened to kill her. Ove surrendered to authorities at the Blue Earth County Justice Center on Tuesday and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday. He faces charges of kidnapping, stalking, terroristic threats and assault.
