Negotiators for the state and the Minnesota Vikings have a tentative agreement on the division of costs for a $975-million stadium at or near the site of the Metrodome. Minneapolis would reportedly kick in $150-million, the state just under $400-million and the Vikings $427-million, plus the city would pay $180- million in operating costs over 30 years. Vikings Vice President Lester Bagley says they’re working hard on an agreement but “we’re not there yet.” An announcement is anticipated next week.
