A trial date has been set for an elderly Paynesville man facing 1st-degree murder charges. The jury trial for 81-year-old Delbert Edwin Huber is scheduled to begin on June 18th. Huber and his son, 45-year-old Timothy John Huber were indicted by a Kandiyohi County grand jury in November on 1st-degree premeditated murder charges as well as 2nd-degree intentional and unintentional murder charges for their roles in the October 8th death of 43-year-old Timothy Richard Larson of Albertville. Delbert Huber allegedly shot Larson with a rifle during a confrontation over the fact that Larson had ordered the Huber’s and their farm equipment off of the farm property owned by Larson’s father in rural Belgrade. Huber’s trial is expected to take 10 days. He faces the possibility of life in prison.
