Paton Promoted To Assistant GM
(Eden Prairie, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings have promoted George Paton to assistant general manager. Paton had interviewed with the St. Louis Rams for their vacant GM position, but decided to stick with the Vikings organization over the weekend. Rick Spielman was recently promoted as Minnesota’s new GM.
T’Wolves Hit The Hardwood
(Orlando, FL) — The Minnesota Timberwolves hit the hardwood this evening as they square off against the Orlando Magic at the Amway Center. The T’Wolves have dropped three games in-a-row to fall to 13-and-15 on the season. They suffered a 100-98 setback to the New York Knicks on Saturday. Minnesota returns to the Target Center on Wednesday to host the Charlotte Bobcats.
Wild On The Ice Tomorrow
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild continue a four-game homestand tomorrow evening as they host the Anaheim Ducks at The X. The Wild have lost four straight games to fall to 25-22-and-8 on the season. They suffered a 3-1 setback to Columbus on Saturday. Minnesota wraps up the homestay on Thursday against Winnipeg.
Lynx Re-Sign Wiggins
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Lynx have re-signed guard Candice Wiggins. The third pick of the 2008 draft played in all 34 games as a reserve for Minnesota last season. She averaged almost six points-per-game to go with nearly two rebounds and one-and-a-half assists. The Stanford product has averaged nearly 12 points-per-game in her four-year career.

Gophers Host Third-Ranked Ohio State Tomorrow
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Golden Gophers continue Big Ten play tomorrow evening as they host third-ranked Ohio State at Williams Arena. The Gophers suffered a 68-61 overtime loss to number-22 Wisconsin last Thursday to fall to 5-and-7 in the Big Ten. They are 17-and-8 overall.
