Stabbing Suspects In Court 15 Feb 12

Five people accused of taking part in a stabbing in the Lower Sioux Community earlier this month made an appearance in court on Monday. Authorities say the alleged incident took place on February 7th when Morton residents Sheena Crow and John Renville wanted to buy methamphetamine from James Toth of Cottonwood. Renville then reportedly started a fight, and Samantha Hein of Morton became involved as well. Renville allegedly came at Toth with a knife when Toth pulled out his own blade and attacked Renville. Toth’s girlfriend, Jennifer Blue of Granite Falls also allegedly assaulted Crow and Hein with a knife as well, and those 2 then reportedly broke a window on Toth’s vehicle and stole Blue’s purse. All of the suspects are due back in court on March 1st for an omnibus hearing, which allows them to challenge evidence and probable cause. A trial date will likely be set at that time as well.
