A public meeting to discuss the Minnesota River flood levee project in New Ulm will be held this (THU) evening at New Ulm City Hall. The purpose of the meeting will be to present the final design for the proposed levee, with the discussion being led by the project’s consulting engineer. The New Ulm City Council decided during it’s recent meeting that the city’s half of the cost of the $2-million levee would be financed through a combination of special assessments on the affected properties and city bonding. This evening’s meeting on the project begins at 7pm in the city council chambers.
