A home in North Mankato was heavily damaged by a fire late Sunday night. Fire crews responded to the rental property on Webster Avenue in North Mankato at around 11:30pm Sunday, and were on the scene for nearly 5 hours. All of the building’s tenants were able to make it out safely, and no injuries were reported. Investigators believe the fire started in a container outside the house that may have contained smoldering cigarettes.
