A Blue Earth County judge ruled on Tuesday that much of the alleged murder confession of a Lake Crystal woman can be used in her upcoming trial. 34-year-old Jennifer Lee Nibbe is accused of killing her husband James Nibbe with a shotgun while he slept in their rural Lake Crystal home in August of 2010. After being arrested around 2 weeks after the murder, Nibbe allegedly confessed to killing her husband. She was reportedly advised of her rights at the time, and Blue Earth County Judge Bradley Walker ruled that those statements will be admissable in court. Nibbe has been indicted on 1st-degree murder charges, and faces the possibility of life in prison. She is scheduled to be back in court for a pre-trial hearing on March 7th, with her trial then set to start on April 16th.
