MN Flu Activity Increasing 24 Feb 12

Flu activity across Minnesota is no longer considered “sporadic” since cases have increased in the latest reporting period. The state Health Department says another Minnesotan died in the past week, bringing the total to five so far this season. There were also 19 people hospitalized while three schools and two nursing homes reported outbreaks. Flu activity remains rather low for this time of year and Minnesota’s flu situation is less widespread than more than half the other states across the country.
