Judge John Rodenberg served his last day on the bench in Brown County on Tuesday. Rodenberg was one of two judges named to the Minnesota Court of Appeals by Governor Dayton late last year to fill vacant at-large seats on the court. Rodenberg has served as district judge for nearly 12 years. Prior to that, he worked in a private practice in New Ulm and was a part-time Assistant Brown County Attorney. He will now be commuting to St. Paul to serve on the appeals court. Rodenberg’s Brown County Court seat will be filled by other Fifth Judicial District judges and retired judges on a rotating basis. Watonwan County Court Judge Greg Anderson will now be on the bench in Brown County for the rest of the week.
