Authorities have identified the victim and the suspect involved in a home invasion and homicide in the City of Blue Earth early Monday. Police responded to the disturbance call at the home on 4th Street East in Blue Earth at around 12:30am and found one person dead and 3 women seriously injured. A 6-year-old girl was unharmed. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s Jill Oliveira says that 37-year-old Christopher Michael Fulmer was dead from blunt force trauma when police arrived at his home. The suspect in the crime has been identified as 29-year-old Brian Daniel Freeman of Ceylon. Seriously injured in the incident were his wife, 38-year-old Candice Marie Freeman, and their 19 and 15-year-old daughters. They are being treated at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, and he remains in custody with charges pending. Authorities say that Freeman entered the home while wearing a mask and bludgeoned the victims with a tool of some sort.
