A St. Peter man is dead following a rollover accident in Rice County Thursday afternoon. It happened at just after 12:30pm on Highway 3 just south of Northfield. 64-year old Gerald Gunderson was reportedly driving a 1999 Peterbilt semi southbound when the truck apparently left the road and entered the ditch before hitting a field approach and several power poles. Gunderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The Minnesota State Patrol and the Rice County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
