A 55-year-old Truman woman was killed in a crash on Highway 15 Thursday evening. The highway was closed temporarily through the City of Truman following the crash. A Chevy Venture minivan driven by 93-year-old Sylvan Behrens of Truman was northbound on 15 when it rear-ended a northbound Chevy Blazer driven by Virginia Murphey of Truman at shortly after 5pm. The Blazer then ran into a tree and Murphey was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol says she was not wearing a seatbelt. The minivan stopped when it hit a business sign and Behrens and his passenger, 90-year-old Beatrice Behrens of Truman were both taken to the Fairmont Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Investigators believe that Behrens suffered from a medical condition that caused the crash.
