Southern Minnesota Congressman Tim Walz says he raised almost $211,000 in the fourth quarter as he prepares to run for a fourth term this year. The Democrat from Mankato reports a little over $617,000 in cash on hand. And when Walz files a campaign fundraising report later this month, it will reportedly show that more than $1-million was raised last year for his re-election bid. Neither of Walz’s two Republican challengers was ready to report fourth quarter fundraising numbers on Monday. State Senator Mike Parry of Waseca, and former State Representative Allen Quist of rural St. Peter had reportedly both raised almost nothing through the third quarter of 2011.
