Update On Train Hitting Plow 24 Jan 12

A Mn/DOT snowplow operator remains hospitalized in fair condition after a collision with a Union Pacific train on Friday in southern Minnesota.  55-year-old Bradley Bruegger of Wells was on Highway 22 in the town of Kiester when the train struck the passenger side of his plow’s cab. The truck was pushed three-quarters of a mile down the tracks before it stopped.  Bruegger was airlifted to Rochester with serious injuries. Authorities say the road was icy at the time of the crash, and that the railroad intersection does have lights and signals, but does not have crossing arms.
