The United Way of McLeod County has announced that the regional non-profit will continue its’ current campaign until March 31st due to the “current economic realities.” A $260,000 county-wide need had been established for this campaign, and thus far pledges of $182,000 have been received, or 70% of the need. In years past, United Way campaigns had ended with each calendar year. The United Way of McLeod County funds a total of 40 agencies and programs dealing with emergency and basic needs, health and human services, child development and community development.
