Here is the latest sports news:  T’Wolves beat Wizards. Gophers fall to Purdue.  Report has Vikings considering four candidates for defensive coordinator position.

T’wolves Top Wizards 
(Washington, DC)  –  Kevin Love posted 20 points and 16 rebounds for his eighth straight double-double to start the season as the Timberwolves toppled the Wizards, 93-72.  Ricky Rubio [[ ROO-bee-oh ]] provided 13 points and 14 assists for Minnesota, which improved to 3-and-5.  The Wolves are right back in action tonight against the Raptors in Toronto.  Tip-off is at 6:00 p.m. 

Purdue Smokes Minnesota 
(Minneapolis, MN)  –  Lewis Jackson scored 20 points as the Purdue Boilermakers took care of the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 79-66.  Rodney Williams put up a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds in a losing effort.  The Gophers have lost four-straight to start Big Ten play and are 12-and-5 overall.  Minnesota looks to snap the losing streak when it travels to face the Indiana Hoosiers on Thursday.

Sharks Face Wild Tomorrow 
(St. Paul, MN)  –  The Wild will host the Sharks at The Xcel Energy Center tomorrow evening.  Minnesota has lost three-straight games and 11 of their last 12.  San Jose is coming off a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals and has won four in a row.  The puck will drop tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. 

Four Candidates Being Considered For Vikings Defensive Coordinators 
(Minnesota, MN)  – reports the Vikings have four candidates to become their next defensive coordinator.  Raheem Morris, who interviewed for the job on Friday, plus Steve Spagnuolo, Mel Tucker and Mike Singletary will be considered for the job.  Fred Pagac has not been officially fired from the position yet.
