Grizz Hold Off T’wolves
(Minneapolis, MN) — Tony Allen scored a team-high 20 points to help the Grizzlies fend off the Timberwolves, 90-86. Kevin Love registered game-high’s with 27 points and 14 boards in a losing effort. Ricky Rubio [[ ROO-bee-oh ]] provided 12 points and 10 assists for Minnesota, which fell to 2-and-4. Michael Beasley had 11 points and 10 caroms in the loss. The Wolves host the Cavaliers tomorrow night.

Iowa Upends Minnesota
(Minneapolis, MN) — Matt Gatens scored 19 points as Iowa edged Minnesota, 64-62, at Williams Arena. Julian Welch scored 14 points to pace the Gophers, who fell to 0-and-3 in Big Ten play and 12-and-4 overall. Ralph Sampson the Third had 12 points in a losing effort. The Gophers will host Purdue on Sunday.

Luongo, Canucks Blank Wild
(Vancouver, British Columbia) — Roberto Luongo stopped all 28 shots he faced as the Canucks blanked the Wild, 3-0. Luongo earned his second shutout of the season and the 57th of his career. Josh Harding made 32 saves for the Wild. Minnesota has lost two straight and 10 of its last 11 overall. The Wild will visit the Flames in Calgary on Saturday night.
