Report: Wolves, Love Agree To Extension
(Minneapolis, MN) — The “St. Paul Pioneer Press” reports the Timberwolves and forward Kevin Love have agreed to a contract extension. According to the report, the four-year pact is worth 62-million dollars. The 23-year-old Love will reportedly sign the deal in Dallas this afternoon. Love is averaging 24.9 points and 13.9 rebounds this season.

T’Wolves Hit The Hardwood
(Dallas, TX) — The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the road this evening against the Dallas Mavericks. The T’Wolves have dropped back-to-back games on the heels of a three-game winning streak to fall to 7-and-10 on the season. Minnesota opens up a brief two-game homestand starting on Friday against San Antonio.

Wild Edge Avalanche
(Denver, CO) — Carson McMillan’s third-period goal was the difference as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Colorado Avalanche, 3-2. Justin Falk and Dany Heatley also scored for the Wild, who won back-to-back games for the first time since a seven-game win streak from November 28th to December 10th. Niklas Backstrom made 24 saves in the win. Minnesota is off the rest of the week for the All-Star Break. The Wild return next Tuesday hosting the Nashville Predators.

Gophers On The Court
(East Lansing, MI) — The Minnesota Golden Gophers are back on the court this evening against 11th-ranked Michigan State Spartans. The Gophers have won three straight games and are coming off a 75-52 victory over Northwestern on Sunday to improve to 15-and-5 overall and 3-and-4 in the Big Ten. Minnesota hosts Illinois on Saturday.
