Bears Best Vikings
(Minneapolis, MN) — Josh McCown threw for 160 yards and a touchdown to help give the Bears a 17-13 season-ending victory over the Vikings. Joe Webb and Christian Ponder combined for 228 yards and three interceptions for Minnesota, which finished 3-and-13. Percy Harvin had 115 yards receiving on 10 catches and also ran for a TD. Jared Allen had three-and-a-half sacks to become the Vikings’ single-season leader with 22.

Wolves Hound The Mavs
(Minneapolis, MN) — Kevin Love led the way with 25 points and 17 rebounds as the Timberwolves got past the Mavericks, 99-82. Ricky Rubio added 14 points and seven assists as Minnesota earned its first win of the year. There is no break for the T’wolves as they are right back on the court hosting the San Antonio Spurs tonight.

Gophers Fall to Wolverines
(Ann Arbor, MI) — Tim Hardaway Jr. knocked down a key jumper with 38 seconds left to lift the Wolverines over the Golden Gophers 61-56. Minnesota couldn’t contain Michigan’s freshman guard Trey Burke who led all scorers with 27 points. Julian Welch and Rodney Williams had 11 points apiece for the Gophers as they have lost their first two games in Big Ten play. They try to snap the slide Wednesday when they host Iowa. The Hawkeyes are coming off an upset victory over Wisconsin.

Coyotes Edge Wild
(St. Paul, MN) — A pair of Radim Vrbata [[ ruh-DEEM ver-BOT-uh ]] goals in the third period sent the Coyotes to a 4-2 victory over Minnesota on Saturday. Matt Cullen had a goal and assist for the Wild while Pierre-Marc Bouchard [[ boo-SHARD ]] also scored in the setback. Niklas Backstrom stopped 26 shots as Minnesota lost its ninth game in 10 tries. The Wild skate at Vancouver on Wednesday.
