SWAT Team Finds Body In Mapleton Home 09 Jan 12

A body was found in a home in Mapleton on Sunday after a SWAT Team was called in to investigate. Neighbors had called police to check on the residents of a home on Silver Street in Mapleton, but when there was no response from inside the home officers called for backup. Mapleton Police Chief Ben Honsey says the SWAT Team was called over officer safety concerns that there were weapons in the home. Neighbors were warned to stay in their homes while the SWAT Team was on the scene, but there is reportedly no current danger to Mapleton residents. The body was found in the garage of the home. An autopsy is being performed to determine the cause of death, and no further information has been released at this time.
