The icy road conditions across the area on Wednesday are being blamed for a semi-truck ending up in Clear Lake in Waseca. The truck was traveling westbound on Highway 14 when it apparently jack-knifed at around 4pm and slid onto the lake, breaking through the ice in the process. The Minnesota State Patrol says that the icy and windy conditions motorists faced on Wednesday most likely played a role in the accident. The semi was sitting in about two feet of water while efforts to pull it from the lake were underway. No injuries were reported.
