The 2 suspects in a series of burglaries and thefts this week in New Ulm remain in custody, and are facing charges of possession of stolen property. The New Ulm Police Department is investigating burglaries at several occupied homes in New Ulm that took place overnight Tuesday, as well as thefts from numerous garages and vehicles. 20-year-olds Dillon James Grimmett and Joseph Thomas Rewitzer, both of New Ulm, were arrested for the crimes on Wednesday. More thefts and burglaries from Tuesday night continue to be reported as well. Residents are reminded to lock their doors and secure their property to prevent future crimes.
