Murder Case Delayed Again 25 Jan 12

There’s been another delay in the murder trial of an 81-year-old rural Paynesville man. Delbert Huber and his 45-year-old son, Timothy, face 1st-degree premeditated murder and other charges for the October 8th shooting death of 43-year-old Timothy Larson on the farm of Larson’s father in Albertville. The elder Huber told a Kandiyohi County judge on Monday that he still has not hired a defense attorney but might by April 1st. He does not qualify for a public defender because he owns farmland. Despite objections by the prosecution, the judge continued Huber’s court appearance until April 12th. Monday’s hearing marked the seventh time Delbert Huber has appeared in court without an attorney. The judge says the case will not be postponed again.
