There will be a candlelight prayer vigil tonight (FRI) for a Montevideo woman attacked and killed a week ago. A co-worker allegedly used a hunting knife to stab 18-year-old Vinessa Lozano 30 times outside her place of work. Lozano’s friend, and organizer of tonight’s prayer vigil, Amber Stevens says it’s hard to believe it happened in their normally quiet community. Tonight’s vigil is at 8:45 outside the Pizza Ranch in Montevideo. Stevens asks people to bring along their own candle. Funeral services for Lozano are tomorrow (SAT). She leaves behind a fiance and 18-month-old son.
