A man accused of shooting at an occupied vehicle outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Medford is being held on $1-million bail. 44-year-old Jason Paul Krieg is accused of firing the shots at a person waiting for a ride outside of McDonald’s because of a drug debt. Krieg allegedly fired six shots into the hood of a vehicle after the targeted man jumped inside. As the man’s mother began driving away, authorities say Krieg fired an additional shot into the front passenger door. The man and his mother weren’t hit. Krieg was arrested Wednesday, two days after the shooting. During his first appearance in court on Thursday, Krieg reportedly turned to two people in the courtroom and called them “snitches.” The prosecutor used that incident in his argument for a high bond.
