Motorists travelling on Highway 169 north of St. Peter will encounter a daytime lane closure beginning today (TUE) as crews work to battle highway erosion along the banks of the Minnesota River. The project involves adding approximately 800 lineal feet of rock to the bank of the river, and is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. The Minnesota Department of Transportation worked with the Department of Natural Resources to develop the repair plans in preparation for future flooding. Motorists should expect lane closures and additional trucks hauling material while the project is underway.
