Authorities have released more information on the case of a former Sibley County woman arrested on murder charges in Missouri last week. 29-year-old Amy Ann Romero was arrested in Sullivan County, Missouri last Friday on a Sibley County warrant from 2001. Romero was reportedly known as Amy Aune in 2001 when she gave birth to a baby girl at her residence in Jessenland Township and then allegedly caused the baby’s death by leaving it in a wooded area 3 miles northwest of Henderson. She has been indicted on 7 felony counts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-degree murder, 2 counts of manslaughter, and child neglect and endangerment. Romero’s bail was set at $250,000 during a court appearance in Sibley County on Thursday. Her next court appearance is March 15th.
