A series of lectures commemorating the US-Dakota War of 1862 conclude this week at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. The series continues today (TUE) with a lecture by Researcher and Author Corinne Monleau-Marz. She has written several books and articles on the subject of Native Americans in Minnesota. The US-Dakota War lecture series at Gustavus then wraps up this Thursday with a discussion with MSU-Mankato English Professor Gwen Westerman. She specializes in multi-cultural and Native American literature. The presentations are free and open to the public, and are held at the Gustavus Alumni Hall from 4 to 5:30pm both days.
