Cream of Potato Soup 16 Jan 12

6 cups chopped potatoes
1/2 cup chopped carrots
6 slices bacon, fried, drained and crumbled
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups milk
2 cups cream or half and half

Cook potatoes, carrots, onion and celery until tender and drain. Combine vegetables, bacon, salt, pepper, milk and cream. Simmer for 30 minutes. Garnish with shredded cheese.
