A Wabasso man was injured Thursday night when his cattle truck crashed on Highway 14 East just outside of New Ulm. The accident occurred at just after midnight at the intersection with Nicollet County Road 37 on the south end of New Ulm. 38-year-old Randy Hanson ran off the road and the Kenworth truck carrying 35 head of cattle rolled. Hanson was taken to the New Ulm Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries. Some of the cattle were reportedly killed in the crash, but the majority are said to have survived. The truck sustained moderate damage. The rollover slowed traffic on 14 early this (FRI) morning, and authorities were still on the scene of the crash into the 6 o’clock hour.
