New Ulm set another new record-high temperature on Friday as the mercury topped out at 47 degrees. The previous record high for New Ulm for January 6th was 44 degrees, set back in 1961. This came after temperatures in the 50s on Thursday which shattered another old record. Meteorologist Anthony Kramer says that winter may return later in the week next week however, with high temps only reaching the 20s. Kramer says that temps today (SAT) will be in the upper 30s, with highs then back in the 40s on Sunday and early next week. Highs in the lower 20s are average for this time of year, but it can get much colder. The record LOW temperature for Friday was 26 degrees below-zero, set back in 1988.
