The former city receptionist for the City of Waseca has pleaded guilty to stealing public funds. In exchange for the guilty plea on the gross misdemeanor theft count, charges of felony embezzlement and gross misdemeanor misconduct of a public officer against Leslee Milbrath were dropped. She was accused of stealing approximately $458 in cash from the city during the summer of 2010. The money had come from a private party as a municipal fee for two softball tournaments. Milbrath has already paid restitution to the city, and will be required to perform an as-yet-undetermined number of hours in community service as part of the plea deal.
