Broncos Pull Out Win Late Over Vikings
(Minneapolis, MN) — Matt Prater kicked a 23-yard field goal as time expired to give the Broncos their fifth straight win, 35-32, over the Vikings. The field goal was set up by an Andre Goodman interception on a pass thrown by Christian Ponder. Tim Tebow [[ TEE-boh ]], who is now 6-and-1 as a starter, was 10-of-15 with 202 yards passing and two touchdowns. Percy Harvin had a big day for the Vikes in a losing effort with eight catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns. Ponder threw for 381 yards, three scores and two picks as Minnesota fell to 2-and-10. The Vikes visit the Lions next week.

Minnesota Drops Anaheim
(Anaheim, CA) — Nick Johnson’s goal 14:29 into the third period lifted the Wild to a 5-3 win over the Ducks. Dany Heatley, Casey Wellman, Pierre-Marc Bouchard and Cal Clutterbuck also lit the lamp for Minnesota, which erased a 2-0 deficit en route to its fourth straight win. Josh Harding made 24 saves in the win. The Wild will visit the Sharks in San Jose tomorrow night.

Gophers Host App. State Tomorrow
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota men’s basketball team hosts Appalachian State at Williams Arena tomorrow evening. The Gophers collected a 55-40 win over USC their last time out on Saturday. Minnesota moved to 8-and-1 on the season with the victory. Tip-off tomorrow is at 7:00 p.m.
