A campaign advisor for State Senator Mike Parry of Waseca’s bid for Congress has abruptly resigned. Former Senate GOP Caucus Communications Director Michael Brodkorb on Saturday left his post as a volunteer adviser to Parry in his campaign against Democrat Tim Walz. No explanation has been given for the separation from the Parry campaign, but the move reportedly followed discussions about recent developments at the Capitol. Brodkorb left the Senate GOP on Friday, the same day the news broke that four GOP senators had confronted Majority Leader Amy Koch with allegations of an improper relationship with a staffer. The staffer wasn’t identified. Koch stepped down Thursday.
