The New Ulm Sister Cities Commission on Monday said goodbye to the latest German participant in the Hans Joohs Cultural Exchange Program. Conny Osswald will be leaving New Ulm on December 30th. Osswald says the highlights of her stay in America included a trip to the Black Hills as well as attending several sporting events. She will be staying in New York City for 2 weeks before going home to Germany. While in New Ulm Osswald worked for the Parker-Hannifin Corporation. Company representative Bryan Thornton (pictured) was presented a plaque honoring them for their corporate partnership in the exchange program Monday evening as well.
