1-1/2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 cup, plus 2 tbsp butter, melted
1 pint peppermint ice cream
1 container frozen whipped topping, partially thawed
3 tsp finely crushed peppermint candy (additional candy for garnish, optional)
Combine crumbs and melted butter; press firmly into a 9-inch pie plate. Combine peppermint ice cream and whipped topping; spoon onto crumb crust. Sprinkle with peppermint candy; freeze until firm. Garnish with peppermint candy, if desired.
